Receiving Your Final Accreditation Decision
If your organization receives RFIs, you’ll have to submit evidence showing that you’re in full compliance with those standards. Once your RFIs have been reviewed and accepted, your accreditation decision will be granted, effective the last day of your survey and is valid for approximately two years. For organizations undergoing their first Joint Commission survey, an accreditation decision is not rendered until the Evidence of Standards Compliance (ESC) form has been accepted, and the effective date of accreditation would be the submission date of the acceptable ESC.
If your organization doesn’t receive any RFIs, the accreditation decision becomes effective the last day of your survey and is valid for approximately two years.
