Information made available to the public and media helps increase understanding about the accreditation and certification process, while also protecting the integrity of the process by ensuring confidentiality for the healthcare organizations we work with and their patients.

Publicly Available Information

ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½’s primary vehicle for providing public information is on its website at /who-we-are/who-we-work-with/find-accredited-organizations.

Publicly available information includes:

  • Name of organization
  • Accredited, certified and/or verified programs
  • Sites of care
  • Effective date of accreditation, certification and/or verification

Confidential Information

To maintain the trust necessary to conduct our work with healthcare organizations and maintain patient confidentiality, ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ does not release reports or findings about any specific healthcare organization or complaint investigation to the public or media. Detailed inquiries on these matters should be directed to the healthcare organization for comment.

ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ also does not disclose patient name or identifiable information, per the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996.
